Logistics & Warehouse Manager Job, Cape Town, Western Cape

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Plan, direct, and coordinate the storage and distribution of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods within all required warehouses nationally and globally.
  • Ensure that customer supply needs are met efficiently
  • Ensure financial efficiency related to logistics.
  • Manage logistics and warehouse staff.
  • Manage customer and warehouse delivery bookings
  • Schedule daily delivery routes
  • Inventory management from receiving and delivering in collaboration with warehouse team to ensure stock levels are maintained at all distributors
  • Process Warehouse stock transfers
  • Assist and work alongside the production manager to evaluate and adapt the required resources for completion of all orders
  • Always maintain a professional and prompt communication pattern with clients with regards to logistics information required, dispatch and shipping of all local orders
  • Ensure dispatch documents are completed in accordance with unique specifications of each client
  • Back-up with GRN processing
  • Maintain CHEP reconciliations
  • Strategic planning of logistics and warehousing
  • Drive financial objectives of the company to assist with profitability and growth

Requirements:

 

  • A matric certificate is essential
  • At least five years working experience
  • Strong management skills
  • Proven track record of logistics management
  • Lean manufacturing highly advantageous
  • Experience in imports and exports
  • Knowledge of Incoterms
  • Strong understanding of international shipping standards and clearance
  • Computer literacy with strong Excel skills is essential
  • Information systems experience (DEAR, WMS and Production Planning)
  • Working knowledge of HACCP/ISO FS Systems
