A Medical Services company is currently recruiting Customer Service Interns for their Customer Services Department in Edenvale, Johannesburg as well as their Rondebosch, Cape Town Offices.
Candidates must be willing to work one week night shift and one week dayshift alternatively. Candidates must also have a Logistics Supply Chain qualification. Only candidates with Drivers licence and own transport will be considered for this position.
Learn and understand the functions within the following Customer Service departments (CSD) for all 4
o Loan sets
o Stock control
o Work closely with the relevant Team leaders/Managers to learn and then follow through on the operational
o Handling & dispatching of all inventory with the utmost of accuracy and care.
o Acquire knowledge and skill to assess the stock levels, the demand thereof as well as ensuring excess & re-
distribution of stock is done timeously.
o Complete the administration process of ensuring that loan sets and stock are dispatched with the correct
o General review of inventory and improvement of the working capital of the business to then be able to
make recommendations to the relevant Product Managers and MAM’s for improvement.

o Assisting with stock takes and ensuring that the physical inventory on the shelf agrees with the system.
o Apply professional values and ethics in the operational environment;
o Comply with all CSD policy and procedures applicable to the operations dept.
o Participate in analysis of operational systems and implementation of appropriate strategic plans.
o Be able to demonstrate an understanding of the key elements in developing strategies to optimize
o Diploma or Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or similar;
o Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel;
o JDE (or similar ERP) experience an advantage;
o Any previous work experience, whether formal or informal would be an advantage;
o Must be thorough and have attention to detail;
o Valid code 08 driver’s license & preferably own vehicle;
o Fluency in English a necessity;
o Must be able to workday shift, night shift and be on call for certain weekends;
o Well-presented and professional demeanor with attention to detail;
o High level of communication and telephone skills;
o Excellent administrative skills.
